-Mission problems= -Everyone was not able to stay for the full mission, -not everyone had all the down loads they needed before the mission started, -a few problems with getting the scenery to work, problem with non fleet members coming in to session and sending chat request.

The mission started at dawn. the weather was building storms. cloud cover was at 2000 feet. The F-18s were the first to leave North Island. Keeping 1 mile distance between eachother they flew west before making a turn to the north to begain the search. The Helos left North Island after the F-18s were airborn and headed north west to the carier battle group witch was planned to be a staging area for the helos untell we had a location for the sinking boat. The F-18s flew to the end of the search area with out any site of the boat. Weather was a major factor. Weather even prevented the Helos from finding there staging area. The helos continued north. After arriving at the north end of the search area the F-18s turned back to the south to search in the San Clementa Island area. The boat was found at the south end of the island. The F-18s reported seeing smoke coming from the ship and debris in the water. The H-60 had to RTB before it could reach the boat. The H-53 was able to make it to the ship. They reported seeing explosions but were still able to pick up 8 servivers. The servivers were taken to Catalina Island.
